Today at dawn

Today, i lie naked on my bed

my legs are tangled in weightless bed sheets

The morning sun seeps its way through

the narrow gap of my curtains leaving a

perfectly aligned glimmer across the dusk of my room

maybe this is natures way of telling me its going to be a good day

I decide to write something beautiful

i begin to trace my liquid pen across the angularity of my stomach

in hope that every beautiful word i create

inks its way through the paws of my skin and every crack of my being,

in desire that every syllable hits my blood stream

and makes me feel as good as the perfectly aligned glimmer

that entered my room today

at dawn
